PRODUCTION MANAGER

Blake grew up in southern Louisiana and received his bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management from Louisiana Tech University. Over the course of his career he’s developed a passion for construction and restoration. It was that passion that brought him to Scovell Remodeling in 2018. As our Production Manager, he enjoys team building, looking for ways to increase efficiency in the field, and helping our clients realize their vision.

In his free time Blake enjoys woodworking, yoga and spending time with family. And he loves to sneak away to the mountains to snowboard whenever he gets the chance.

Describe your part in the build process.

As Production Manager, I oversee all projects in production. I am tasked with forecasting project time-lines and labor needs while anticipating potential problems and finding solutions for surprises that arise. Although I am not directly client facing, I focus on building a strong team and strong subcontractor relationships. 

Describe how your experience in the field supports this role.

After college, I started my career in building & remodeling swimming pools around the country before moving into the residential sector as a finish/trim carpenter. After a few years as a finish carpenter, I was initially hired at Scovell as a Project Manager before becoming the Production Manager.

What is your favorite kind of project to work on?

I love when projects involve changing the floor plans or putting an addition on houses. 

Why design + build?

Why not? My experience at Scovell has made me a believer in Design + Build.

What do you love about your work here at Scovell?

I like working at Scovell because you feel the family atmosphere in such a small group. We look out for each other  and really have a whole team approach to everything we do. You feel like your daily working tasks actually make a real life impact on our client’s lives as well as our company
