Don is an Iowa native but has lived in Kansas City since 2005 and considers this place “home.”  He enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, working out daily and finding creative ways to keep moving. He’s a Royals and Chiefs fan and loves to watch their games and follow the teams, win or lose.

What do you love about your job? (or what are you most excited for)

I have spent many years in the insurance industry but no matter what my position is, my focus is always taking care of people. If I can make your day easier or better, I have done my job. It’s great to work in a small office, know everyone’s name, and also get to know them personally.

Why design + build?

I have heard countless stories from friends and former insurance customers about hiring subcontractors or companies to complete a job and then turn into horror stories. It’s important to do your homework and choose a company that is trustworthy, has integrity, can work with you from start to finish, and you can count on to fulfill your vision and complete the work in a timely manner.
