Jake grew up in St. Louis and received a bachelor’s degree at the University of Central Missouri. Jake’s love for construction and remodeling came after he decided that he was going to remodel his dad’s basement all by himself. From that moment on, he dreamed of working in the field.
It only takes meeting Jake once to see he has an incredible attitude and an energetic personality. He is passionate about listening to clients and transforming their dreams into reality.
Outside of work, Jake loves spending time with his wife and their two Huskies. He’s the classic outdoorsman who loves hunting with his dad every deer season. He also enjoys boating at the Lake of the Ozarks each summer and golfing every chance he gets.
Describe your part in the build process.
During the Build process, I make sure that the client stays informed during all phases of construction and problem-solve as surprises in construction arise.
Describe how your experience in the field supports this role.
Being a Project Manager has always been a dream job of mine - I feel that I am just as passionate and invested in the project as the client.
What is your favorite kind of project to work on?
My favorite type of project to work on is a kitchen remodel - especially cabinet and countertop install days!
Why design + build?
I love the fact that we work hand in hand with the same design team instead of a different designer for each project. This allows us to learn from each other and, ultimately, design and build the best product possible!
What do you love about your work here at Scovell?
The great part about Scovell is the fact that every single employee has a part in every project. We’re all invested and genuinely care about how each project turns out.
