Kris began his construction experience working as a roofer for two years prior to joining the Army as a Combat Medic. After four years of service in the military, Kris joined the Scovell team in the field with the desire to learn more about remodeling. With experience in general contract work on his personal home, Kris has worked on various stages of the process including framing, flooring, tile, concrete and cabinetry projects.

Favorite tool? 

My favorite tool to use is the router because it transforms a normal piece of material into a nice, finished product.

What is your favorite kind of project to work on?

I really enjoy working on bathrooms - it's a small spade that requires great detail when it comes to finishing.

Why design + build?

In the Design + Build process, I love being able to see the full process and truly gauge work being done. It's satisfying being able to start with nothing and end with a nice finished product.
